Marriage

Marriage is an institution ordained by God, from the beginning between a man and a woman and not man with man or woman with woman. God created man in His own image and from man came woman as help for him Gen 2:22-23. In Gen 2:24 God said “Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and shall cleave unto his wife and shall be one flesh”. The only third party that is to be allowed in a marriage is the institutor of marriage, which is God. God established marriage for two people from different backgrounds to come together to understand each other, take care of each other, learn from each other and help each other.

Marriage is a place of learning. Husband and wife discover new things about each other every day. You cannot stop learning because it’s a place of learning and a place to be equipped physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It is a university that a wife and a husband acquire many degrees without graduating.

Anyone going into marriage needs to seek the face of the Lord very well so as to receive strength to learn what marriage has for you. – Juliana Olarinde
