Text: Exodus 15: 22-25 “22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. 23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.[a] 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.” (NKJV)
After the children of Israel left Egypt they were pursued by Pharoah and his armies and eventually drowned in the red sea. They soon forgot that the God who delivered them from Egyptian bondage and drowned their enemies is able to provide water for them. They murmured and complained until Moses cried unto God and he instructed him to cast in a tree and the waters were healed. Many times in the journey of life we go through bitter situations either a job loss, mountain of debt, divorce, delayed marriage or child bearing or even the loss of a loved one. Do we begin to complain and murmur against God or do we cry out for help in that difficult situation. The Lord has promised he will never leave or forsake us we just need to trust him.
What is that bitter situation or circumstance? I encourage you to trust and believe God to bring you out and turn that bitter situation to something sweet in Jesus name. God bless
