Text: Genesis 26: 12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him”.

If you read the entire chapter of Genesis 26 we see here that Isaac was facing a famine and the Lord appeared to him not to go down to Egypt but to live in the land which he the Almighty will instruct him to. The bible records in verse 12 that Isaac sowed in that land and received a hundredfold because he obeyed the instruction of the lord. Many times we Christians are superficial and we make a mess of ourselves, if Isaac disobeyed God and went down to Egypt after the Lord instructed him where to live i’m sure God would not have blessed him. A lot of people migrate to a different country or a different state or even move onto a new job in search of greener pastures only to realize they have made a shipwreck of their lives. It is important to seek God’s face before taking any step especially in this time and season of financial crunch and hardship. We must rely and depend on God’s leading because he alone knows where those greener pastures are and will safely direct us there.

Prayer Point: Father I pray for the grace to lean and rely on you so that I can receive and enjoy your blessings for my life in Jesus name, Amen.
