Text: Matthew 14: 22-23

Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.

Notice that all through Jesus account in the bible he always found a time to retreat and be alone with God. If you will achieve anything in life there are moments you need to retreat from families, friends, loved ones, associates, colleagues and even spouses to be alone. This is necessary to evaluate how you are faring and what needs to be done to prepare for greater heights. Ask any successful businessman the secret to their success and they will surely tell you they have some quiet time usually in the early hours of the day to think, strategize and plan for the day. Same also goes with God, we have to find time to retreat to study and meditate the word, pray and encourage ourselves with the word. The only way we can refuel daily is by spending time alone with God. May this year be a year of knowing God intimately so that you can come on top in Jesus name.  Amen

Prayer point: Lord help me to discipline myself in spending quality time with you so that I can be energized and equipped for the days ahead in Jesus name.  Amen
