Text: Matthew 12:36-37
But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Words are very powerful. The bible tells us that God created this earth with the words of his mouth. Our words can build o destroy, uplift or bring down, encourage or discourage, mend or break so we must be careful when we speak. We should think before we speak and sometimes we do not speak because it might not be the right time to speak. The bible admonishes us to be careful of our words because we shall give account of every word that we speak. Whether we know it or not, there is a record being kept for you and I so we must endeavor that our words bring healing and life to those around us. The bible says be angry but sin not, don’t speak when you are angry because you may utter words that you’ll eventually regret instead speak life to that body, dead womb, unemployment, almost broken marriage and I trust and believe that all will be well as we speak the word of God over that situation in Jesus name.
Prayer point: Father I pray that my words will be seasoned so that I may speak the right words at the right time. Grant me the grace to speak life to every circumstance and challenge instead of idle words in Jesus name. Amen
