Text: Matthew 9: 9 As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him (NKJV).

In our text today, Jesus was passing by after he had healed a paralytic and then he met Matthew and immediately asked him to follow him. The only way we can get anywhere in life is by following, take for example you are going to a place where you have never been, the only way to get to your destination is by following the GPS or direction given by a passerby. You can’t take the opposite direction if you expect to get to your destination. A little child has to follow a trusted adult, maybe a parent, grandparents, aunties, uncles or family friends in other not to get lost. An employee has to follow direction from their company in order to be successful at work so also we as Christians have to follow Christ and heed to his commandments. Life is a journey and who we follow determines if we arrive safely. I encourage you this year to follow after Christ so you can have that glorious year that you so much desire. God bless and have a great week.

Prayer Point: Father I pray that you make me a follower who will heed to your commandments against all odds in Jesus name. Amen.
